behind this project

BABES FEST is an independent comedy, music and film festival produced by Hervey's nonprofit, #bossbabesATX. Since the program's launch in March 2016, Hervey has overseen the development, programming and communications strategy for the annual festival. This summer, Hervey, along with her team, executively produced the festival in Austin, Texas on July 27 through July 29, 2017 at The North Door, Empire Control Room & Garage and the Austin School of Film, showcasing 50+ multidisciplinary artists to 1,000+ attendees. In BABES FEST's short history, the festival has seen a SXSW launch event in March 2016 (showcasing 27 acts with 500 attendees), a sold-out pop-up in NYC (featuring acts like filmmaker Katja Blichfield and comedienne Jessica Williams) and a yearlong women in film partnership with the Texas State Bullock Museum for their #femmefilmfridays program.

*It's important to note BABES FEST is not a group work client; this project is included in group work's portfolio as representation of Hervey's previous event production and programming work.
